Constructing 3D images is a juicy dialog between a skilled photographer and out-of-this-world technology. Nonexistent objects become totally real, tangible, and covered in a coat of breathing textures and alluring shadows. More real than reality, they will make you want to pinch them.

In 3D CGI production there are no creative limitations, even the sky isn’t a limit. Call us and we’ll help you realize even the most unreal photographic ideas.
Modeling
3D modeling is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any three-dimensional object. Good 3D data, sourced from original CAD manufacturing files or often modeled from scratch is required to generate photo-realistic images with outstanding quality. Da! has a team of experienced modelers (3D mojstri/modelarji) who are able to tackle any modeling challenge generating renderable data in order create replicas, free forms or completely new objects.)

Texturing and Shading
Raw 3D models need to be carefully »skinned« to turn simple, mathematical data into convincing and familiar materials and surfaces like glass, rubber, chrome or wood. Specialized 3D software systems provide a range of texturing and shading tools to achieve almost any surface look and feel or to exactly match requirements of the brief.

Lighting
Lighting a 3D scene is almost exactly the same as lighting a photographic or film set. Lighting in large part determines the look, feel and overall style of a shot and this is where the photographer’s skill is critical, especially if we are aiming for exceptional degree of photorealism from the 3D model. HDR (high dynamic range) images can be combined with any number of 3D studio lights to reproduce a phenomenal range of styles.

HDR Photography
Is a core element when it comes to rendering a 3D model into a photographic background (backplate). 360 degree spherical HDR images are taken on location with a special Panoramic camera system. These images contain all lighting information from the environment. The spherical image is later wrapped around the 3d model. The Sphere emits light and also reflects into the model of a car, the same way as if it was on location. This technique makes it possible to create incredibly real renderings that can't be distinguished from real photographs.

Rendering
Rendering is a complex mathematical process where parameters like model shape, HDR sphere, lighting, materials, reflections, shadows and textures are translated into a photorealistic image component.

Retouching
Retouching at its simplest involves the perfection of a single image, framing the image, setting exposure levels and removing blemishes, but that's only the beginning. In most retouching projects many different elements will need to be creatively assembled together from separate shots to create a single convincing image using complex layering, blending and painting tools. Finally the composite image will be carefully color-graded for its target application.
